I am in the process of redesigning our CMS (built using PHP) used in online publishing. I have defined the fields I think we will need to meet current and future online publishing needs.

Date posted
Publish date
Article Title
Author
Article (full)
Article summary
Keywords (pull-down + option for manual insertion)
Industry (pulldown)
Category (news, feature, video, etc)
Image

Am I missing anything?

Thank you for any help/advice you can offer.

Regards,

Aren't date posted and date published the same (as opposed to date written and date submitted, which would be different)?

What happens if an article has more than one image? I assume that it can, but that the field in question is for an image that appears in a particular place in each article.

What about path/URL parameters. Is this automatically defined? If so is there a means for getting your keywords into the URL so that they will appear in anchor text when someone just uses the URL as anchor?

What about meta title? Will the article title (which I assume is the H1 title) always be the same as the <title>Title</title>. Sometimes it's nice to be able to vary these b/c the H1 is for folks already on the page or getting it via RSS, and thus may not need to be enticed to click (unless it's also the title used in your navigation), whereas the <title> is the one likely to appear in the search engines and needs to provide good information scent rather than be coy or clever, for example.
