I was hoping some of you out there could help me out. I'm hoping to build a site around a particular niche, and I have a pretty good vision of what I want out of it. The problem is, I don't know what sort of script(?) I should be looking for to achieve it. Keep in mind that I really don't have the ability to code this myself, but I would hopefully be able to custom edit something else to reach what I want.
Here's what I'm looking for:
*I want to be able to organize all the businesses offering widget services, by state-->city.
*I want to list some basic information, such as the name of the business, their address, phone #, and web address (if applicable).
*Preferrably, I would like to also have a small snapshot of their location via a yahoo/google map embedded on the page.
*I would like it to be database driven, that way I can add new listings easily in the backend, as opposed to creating each page by hand with a template...
*The ability to place ad copy on various parts of each page.
Would this be considered a portal? If so, could anyone give me a bit of advice as to what I'd need to use/do to get the end result I'm looking for?

Do you think either option be capable of what I'm looking for?
That is, without me needing extensive programming knowledge to pull it off?
