My current and existing clients are wanting some sort of CMS system that's web based with login security. I primarily code in ASP. I'm looking for a robust solution (pay or free) that can accomodate a wysiwyg editor for template based pages (so that the clients don't compromise the site layout), a photo gallery option where they can upload pics and categorize, calendar option, and possibly a mailing list plugin for newsletter subscription. A login feature for security would be ideal.
Does such a thing exist out there that will include many of the options or plugins that I list above?
I have a few sites that were I use Web Wiz Rich Text Editor(free) to allow clients to alter asp files and I display the content using include code on existing template pages. This works, however looking for something a little better and more robust.
There are so many quality CMS packages out there it's really hard to recommend. The first place I tell people to take a look is opensourceCMS or CMS Matrix to see what's available in terms of features. At the former site you can even try the packages out in demo mode to see whether it's something you can work with.
