Countries, Cities, Towns, travel destinations database

Hello,

I'm looking for database that contains names and coordinates (for using with Google Maps API) of geographical places such as Countries, Cities, Towns and destinations (such as Niagara Falls).

Do you know where can I find such database?

try reading an Atlas, the basic geographical tool!

We can supply you with names, such as for example:

"La Bolt is a town in Grant County, South Dakota, USA."

but not co-ordinates, and *not* for free, so I doubt you'd be interested.
