I have a client with an ASP site (active server pages) that we're migrating to Joomla.

Should I bite the bullet and 301 redirect all the old pages, or has anyone had any experience trying to use an SEF plugin to represent .asp url's via Joomla or another php based site. Sorry if this is a stupid question - but I know other .html and .php url structures are readily achievable through SEF plugins and I thought it would be interesting to get opinions on .asp?
