Flash video player problem

Anybody has experience in which the skin of Flash video player not showing when it is linked externally?

Both video and the video player skin shows correctly on the site, but when it is linked from another website using <embed> the player skin doesn't show. The video still plays, just not the skin.

I already made sure the skin swf file is in the same directory as the player swf.

Is the link to the player and its related components (skin swf) absolute and does it include the domain name of the external site?

I changed the path to an absolute path and it seems to work now.
