News Articles Suddenly Dropping Out

I have a client that produces a large amount of articles. These articles have been number one on Google News. Now suddenly, the articles are not being picked up. My client had a CMS problem and Google told them they see something is blocking the crawler. I have asked my client if they changed the robots.txt file. What else could I be missing?

How about your meta tag? Do you see anything like "<meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow">"?

Firewall on the server or the hosting company is screwing around and / or .htaccess IP / User agent based blocks?
