Link database CMS.

I'm building a website for someone, and his vision is very simple. He wants his site to do do one thing, and one thing only: act as a sort of link database for sites on a certian subject.

I want to be able to divide a collection of links into catagories and subcatagories, and maybe even a third tier, and I want to be able to include information on these entries - a brief description, name of the company that owns/runs it, and maybe one or two other things.

This should be an easy and relatively simple job, even for an amateur like me, but I wanted some input on what you guys think might be the best free CMS for me to use with this.

One more thing - if at all possible, I want it to be relatively easy for the guy to update it, once I have it set up for him. That means the ability to add new catagories, subcatagories, and actual entries himself. He's not a complete computer illiterate, but he won't be able to wade through piles of coding alone either.

Any advice would be appreciated.
