Anyone else ever get hits like this? Theres no referer or browser and the IP is never even similar. It always requests for "\sumthin". What could it be?

We've had some discussion of this over in Search Engine Spider Identification. It appears to be a Linux Worm or "test" of your server's 404 response. I added a page called "sumthin" containing a few choice words, just to give 'em "sumthin" to chew on. :)
