Is this normal behaviour?

Hey all
This is my first post in this cat. The log files for a site I am concerened about shows huge swings in visits. The log shows that every four days or so the number of visits drops dramatically. Some days are fine then boom. Nothing to speak of.
I have been told by the host that this is normal.

I find the huge swing from our usual numbers to low, low numbers of visits to be very odd. Of course this is bad news from a business activity point of view.

Any thoughts.

Seams to be pretty much the same on all the sites I maintain. Come the weekend a lot of people just wont go online.

I also noticed that august was very quite. I put that down to being the prime holiday month.
