Sophisticated tracking of click throughs

What options are available?

We currently use WebTrendsLive eBusiness edition. We now require a tool that will give us more sophisticated features including tracking of:

* Click throughs from all search engines, directories , other sites etc
* Entry points on our site
* Which search terms they have used (if applicable)
* What the user has done when on the site
* At what stage they have exited...

Ideally we need to review the range of services and software in the market before deciding which best suits our needs. Any recommendations /costings / or experiences would be welcome.

From what you say you are looking for a stats program as opposed to traking click thrus from your site.

There are quite a few options, some more expensive that others.

web trends

try a search at the top for log file analysis.

You also mention what the user has been up to. I think you are refereing to click stream analysis which is a little more complicated. I have seen ASP versions where the global.asa is used to track every page that a user clicks. Not sure how good this is in practice but it looked OK.

I was under the impression that only the "Enterprise Edition" offered this facility, and not the "Ebusiness Edition"
