You should be aware that the small print of at least one "paid and leading" cookie based tracking system has a very dangerous clause in its terms and conditions:
"[the service].com retains ownership and all rights to the HitsLink logos, trademarks, software, trade secrets, databases..."
Databases! So - although they promise not to divulge your email address in their admirable privacy policy on their home page, they don't promise not to compromise your visitor data in the small print off the signup page. I know for a fact that a good portion of the data IS compromised.
Thought people should know. i'd be happy to name and shame...

That is interesting. Can you expand on that and tell us what types of visitor data is compromised?
This means all white labels have this - and a very major search engine promotion tool is a major partner of this data.
