I'm trying to identify some software for a brand new site that I've launched.

I need to try and figure out where my current hits are from (mostly search engines) and why they came to the site.

Any software which allows me to get a report as follows:

Google:
Keywords - xyz 20 hits
abc 19 hits

Yahoo:
Keywords - efg

I should then be able to click on the keywords and it should reverse the view

xyz:
Search Engines - Google 20 hits
Yahoo 10 hits

Further

If I click on hits, it should show me something as follows:

Hits for xyz from Google :
IP address - a.b.c.d
Pages Viewed - 20 pages

IP address - z.y.z.a
Pages Viewed - 30 pages

This would allow me to figure out where everyone is hitting the site from and more importantly why they're visiting and which keywords result in the longest hits.

Any software that does this? Any market for such a software? Do you guru's need such information?

Hishrich, I'm not sure whether you are looking for software for your websites or whether you are looking at the feasibility of developing your own, but many serious (commercial and free) logging softwares can do this, if not exactly in the way you say - it is usually just a matter of configuring it to your needs. Look at FastStats, Analog, Webtrends etc. for a start. I'm not a guru by any means but hope that helps. Also look through or search the previous posts here. I'm pretty sure the answer to your question has already been answered in other threads.

For example, we use Analog to analyse all the info you outlined in your post, by producing separate reports for each question.

Chiyo,
I would be interested in how you configure analog so that it creates a keyword by referer report. I only managed to get separate report sections like "Refering sites" and "Keyphrases" but not a combination of both.
Any advice is very much appreciated.

Chiyo,

Not yet found a way to configure analog for the keyword by search engine report.

Will look at some of the other packages you mentioned.

Not really interested in developing my own ... but might code something up as a PHP class which I can include / extend into some websites that I run.
