strange log entrys

I was a little irritated today. <snip (don't want to show it in public, but looks like a dial-in)>.netcologne.de downloaded many images and all exe and flash files from our server, but not a single html page. After 20 minutes the ghost was gone. Two questions came into my mind.

1. Why should anybody do this?
2. How could they know the locations without the html files? (unfortunately I only have the logs for the last three days, though)

Any ideas? Do I have to worry?

The one most logical explanaition is that the agent have been on your site before (prior to your 3 days log) and collected the links to all your files. Maybe the agent also downloaded all the files at the last visit and now just downloaded them again to updates them.

I wouldn't hessitate one second to block that one :)
