Why does Webtrends have problems with this ?

I've noticed over the last year that our WebTrends reports no longer include MSN on the list of reported search engines. But I know by looking at the referring URLs, that there are still visits from MSN.com, and MSN.co.uk.

Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me ? Do I need to update the ID file within WebTrends ? Has it changed for MSN ?

WebTrends uses an INI file to determine what search engine bucket to throw each query into.

Any INI file that is about 18+ months old will fail to recognize most/all MSN traffic. We see this very often with corporate clients who purchased WT a while back.

Stickymail me and I will attach an updated INI file for you. If you just rerun your reports after storing that INI file, it will show corrected numbers.
