Google is to drop the idea of deprecating third-party cookies in Chrome. It plans to keep working on “privacy-preserving alternatives” on its Privacy Sandbox APIs.

This is really stunning, but thank goodness they decided to halt this. I still think it was a thinly disguise action against advertising competitors.
