Is Google Tag Manager a good product for websites?

So I've been told to check out Google Tag Manager to run scripts like Google Analytics Code etc. into my site's html code.

Is anyone else using Google Tag manager and recommends it? Thanks!

It’s getting very popular. I don’t use it, but lots of my seo friends do.

How do you customize position with different tags html? Some ads require special placement within html tags of the page
