Webmaster Tools Crawl Errors

I've started seeing crawl errors in my Google Webmaster Tools account, starting om 12/26/17. Never had any issues before that time.

Here is the link to the Crawl errors screenshot: [awesomescreenshot.com ]

Spoke with my hosting company an they say they have made no changes to the servers, but they see other clients on their servers having the same issues. They investigated but could come up with no explanation. My questions are:

1) Has Google made any recent changes to the way they connect and crawl websites?
2) Will these errors negatively impact my SEO
3) What should I do about this? Contact Google (How?) or possibly Limit Google's maximum crawl rate?

Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated. Changing hosting companies is not an option at this point.

A lot of others have noticed errors recently in GSC. See this announcemnet from Jan. 9th: [webmasterworld.com...]

There are a number of other discussions on this topic that might give some insight, but you can be sure you are not the only one noticing unreliable or unusual data. See this example: [webmasterworld.com...] that lists some of the other threads.

To make things more confusing some members are noticing changes in Analytics at the same time: [webmasterworld.com...]

Thanks for the info not2easy,

Hosting provider says server is fine and no DNS issues, guess I have to trust them, but I don't ;-)

tried looking for any confirmation from Google that they changed something with the crawler, no luck.

The changes are with the Google Search Console where we all are seeing data strangeness. That article mentioned above at [webmasterworld.com...] has the details. The article has a link to Google's explanation about these changes. I have to say it does not explain much but now there are two versions of your GSC rolling out - and they are not the same.
