Hello,

I have a lot of users with this IP on my sites. It resolves to inktomi2-cam.server.ntl.com
First I thought this is a spider, but then I noticed its definately humans. (using lots of different browsers, filling out forms etc)
Doing a search on google for "62.253.128.5" returns over 600 pages which is quite high. Most IPs don't give one result.
Is this a proxy or something ? What has it to do with inktomi ?

Yobb.

Ok, I figured it out. Looks like a proxy in the uk. Damn, I hate proxies. They make tracking much harder sometimes.

its an NTL proxy in Cambridge.

I'm getting a lot of suspicious stuff from their Brentford proxy. I've put a block on the IP but this is affecting genuine visitors too.

A call to abuse@ntl has not returned any answers yet.

What kind of stuff you getting? My logs show constant flurries of traffic like trying to download my complete site. They got the paths configured incorrectly though, so I'm getting hundreds of 400's
