I found one site not indexed but getting Search traffic. How?

I checked it through the histat data and it is getting in average 40 uniques per day from Google. I checked the domain like site:domain.com and it is not indexed. I tried with all the combinations and it IS NOT indexed. Anyone has any clue as to how this happens?

Never mind the site name. If you feed in some blocks of unique text, do they come up in search?

I assume this is your site. Is it getting crawled? What do the various areas of gwt say?

I would be surprised to hear of any site older than two days that is not indexed.

To my amazement None of that page is indexed. And I couldn't find any keyword histats reports that is ranking in Google. But it reports a number of search traffic from Google.

The page is not mine. I saw it Warrior Forum and asked there but I didn't get good answer. So I asked here.
But one of them told me there is such case.

you must be indexed or else you could not get traffic from them.

so... either

1. you are indexed but you are not searching properly (try as lucy24 suggested), are you hits coming from .com .in etc, search whichever they are coming from

or

2. your images are indexed in image search (but not your content) and you are gettign clickthroughs from that.

or

3. your stats program is in error.

:: obligatory detour ::

Oh. Montenegro. I was thinking Melanesia but I guess that's not all one country.

You're not supposed to name your own site. But I did an empty search using your site name by itself, and got "about 882" results, where "about 882" = 480. And once you've got those hits, you can feed in some random word from the results and continue getting numbers in the hundreds.

Is it possible you were simply using the wrong syntax for "site:" ?

I would very much like to know this and would like to hear your analysis.

I don't understand what you're asking at this point.

Analytics reports visits from google.
Searches using your sitename confirm that the site has been indexed.

What's the issue?

I posted the histats link but it was deleted by moderators I think. Check that domain if it is indexed. But it is getting about 40 uniques from Google daily.

Here are some ideas. They may be wrong...

Although the site is not indexed, there may be ways in which Google sends you traffic (or appears to send you traffic). If users move FROM a Google page to your site, for example, some tracking systems may call that traffic from Google. Aternatively, images or frames might be embedded on third party sites. Thirdly - the Google traffic MIGHT be Googlebot itself crawling the site (again depending on the tracking system). But my GUESS is that your site keeps on getting indexed then de-indexed through a filter - so you occasionally get some real traffic from Google - but as soon as it comes in, it gets de-indexed again.

Although the site is not indexed

I checked this before the domain name got deleted, and again just now. The site is definitely, unequivocally indexed. Even if you constrain your search to "past month" it turns up several dozen hits.

It's on bing too. And on yandex.

I simply can't figure out why OP thinks it isn't indexed :(

May be you are refering to other domain but the domain

is not indexed as I can see it.

There are two reasons why this can occur:

- Another site is using your statistics code
- Another site redirects to yours (thus the referrer is correct, and your stats will not record the interim step)

If you dig deeper into your stats you will be able to determine which of these two possibilities it is.

I see an other reason:
Link dropping in forums like this :)

It is no link dropping onlineleben. I was curious of this phenomenon (not getting indexed and yet getting traffic) and I asked in a better forum here after asking in WF. Please! not everybody is sneaky!
