Visits within specified time period in Google Analytics

How would I generate a report detailing the number of Visits within a specified time period? Does this need to be a custom report or is it somewhere within the existing reports?

do you mean like setting the date range on the standard reports or are you asking about custom reports?

Custom Report I guess. I'm looking for say 7AM to 11AM for a date range

sorry i misread that and was thinking date not time.

you can filter by hour in a custom report.
when you add a filter you can select "Hour" under the "Other" selection dropdown.
