Google Analytics Delayed Reporting

Larger than normal delay in google analytics reporting

Hey all-

Has anyone else noticed over the last 4 or so days that Google Analytics is having a very annoying delay in reporting? I've ran Analytics for years and are accustomed to a few slight delays that normally catch-up on the same day (a few hours later), but this one is different.

For most of the day analytics does not update hourly stats, even going into the following day. What's even more strange is that as Analytics begins to update, a big gap in reporting will still exist (example: 1-9am will have reporting, 10-1pm will not, but the rest of the hours will report. The missing hours won't show until some time later the following day).

Any of this sound familiar? I'm looking to see if anyone else has experienced similar problems over the last 7 days or so.

I guess I am alone with this experience?

I hope that we are not reaching some kind of ceiling that Google put into place to encourage folks to purchase analytics pro. We are definitely close to the daily limit of visitors - I got to check on number of hits.

Just to answer this question for people with a similar issue in the future. It turns out that we have indeed maxed out Google Analytics for near real-time reporting. Websites with medium traffic will experience 12 hour to 2 day delays in reporting.
