International and local search results by Google

After submitted websites at official URL inside Google system, there is different result at Google international URL which is called Google.com and local search results page. Is there possibility to show website locally and also international or Google defines its own rules when website will be shown. As this is financial consequence it is very important to understand. Websites rank at the top for other major search engines but seems local search is not expanded to international search results.

If "local search" included "international" ..it wouldn't be "local" ( would it ? ;-) ..they are mutually exclusive..or should be..in this G has it correct.

I understand local and international results.
You talk about search and searching. I talk about input inside index.


Issue is how to define my website as international as Google.com will not show website inside Google.com even website is for other countries.

Are there any offical notices for this rules or we do as usual link like

Think the common strategy is to have country specific sections (e.g. example.com/au, example.com/nz etc) and region lock those sections in webmaster tools while setting the root to global. Otherwise it's a case of having cake and eating it too haha

What do you mean:

as in verify the example.com/(nz|au|uk|us|etc) separately in Webmaster Tools and set their preferred regions to respective country, while for example.com, leave it set to global.
