Hi, I am new to this forum. Hopefully anyone who can help me will help me solve the great unknown. I have a family web page exclusively for relatives. Lately I have been checking my page views, it seems a continuous IP address appears, only it is not a local one. I have gone on various IP tutorials to figure this out, the ip comes from Germany, Arcor, I believe is the name of the ISP. I am a bit scared that someone could be stalking me. Is there anyone out there who can put my mind to ease? How would I be able to find out who and where it is coming from, this has been going on for sometime, the IP in question is: <removed> I am open to any suggestions and help. thank you,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Domminick Wells,

well you can't really find out who it is. You can look it up as you have already done. You can get the city from the IP

Country: Germany
City: Frankfurt, Hessen

but aside from that I wouldn't worry too much.

For my family site the whole thing is password protected so that I know who has the password. I also log everything in some different ways so I can look at anomolies. I am also adding a feature so that everyone has to signup to see anything. That would allow me to know even more about the users on the site.

Another option would be to ban the ip if you are really worried.

I use this site for info on ips
