Hi there, Everyone:

I am looking at the entrance sources for a page, and it says that google was UP nearly 10% but that google.com was DOWN 81%

So what in the word is google.com supposed to refer to? Is it entrances from adwords? Or entrances from google merchant? Or something else?

Thanks in advance.

International versions of google have different TLDs, like google.ca, google.fr, etc.

Most likely, google is referring to search traffic from Google's main search, while google.com is referral traffic from other Google sites/products. For instance, some Google News and Google Finance traffic turns up as referrals.

Thanks. I actually do see separate Non-US listings (such as google.ca and google.de etc) as well as the google and google.com listings.

@ mazaru

Would google.com then include referrals from adwords as well? I don't see any listing in the sources for adwords, and I would like to see what the traffic from adwords is.

No - do you have automatic tagging set up for your Adwords campaigns? If so, you should see it in Campaigns.
