I've hit a few pages in firefox and I see "google analytics" at the bottom for up to 30 seconds and the page itself doesn't load.

Any thoughts on this?

I don't know whether your particular situation occurs in an AdWords context, but I did block the analytics site in my local hosts file because it was degrading my browsing experience.

I believe Google changed the Javascript call from the head to the very bottom of the page. I recall it being in the head when I first looked at it and now it is on the bottom.

Check for some new code for your site. This will eliminate any delays as the call is not made until your page completely loads.

I initially added it to six of my sites to test it out, but it slowed the load times so significantly that I had to take it out, and haven't been back since.
