Is it possible to hijack website traffic?

40% decline in traffic from yahoo even though rankings are same.

Hi,

I am a new member to this forum and woul dneed help of all seniors and members to help me understand my very peculiar problem.

I have an affiliate site which is ranked very well in Yahoo fro main keywords and was giving me very good conversions until 5th of April. I then received a threat email from some guy called alan parish asking for the databse of my backward links and link structure or else he will spam my site. I like anyone else ignored the email. However, my sales have dropped since then and are dropping day by day. Also, he most funny part is that i dont record any sales from 11;3o AM-12 PM pacific time till next 7-8 hours which actaully are the peak hours for buying. Even if some sale takes place it is like 1 or 2.

Can anyone give me an insight in this problem. I would appreciate it!

You might want to take a look at this post [webmasterworld.com]. Another member had a similar problem to yours.
