To access your tracking code from within your Google Analytics account:
Log in to Google Analytics at [google.com...]
From the Overview page, select the account that has the profile for the tracking code you're looking for, as the code is profile-specific.
Select the profile from the accounts Overview page.
From that profile's Actions column, click Edit
At the top right of the 'Main Website Profile Information' box, click Check Status
Your tracking code can be copied and pasted from the text box in the Instructions for adding tracking section

Well, it offers some stats you can't get elsewhere. Bounce rate (as calc'd by google) some feel is very important.

Personally, I find they are off to far from real log stats to be of any use other than trend tracking.

ok then I wo n't use it

I use awstats and just found something weird

all of my urls are html and when I looked at awstats, I see things like
widgets without the html

and then I see /contact without the html

I didn't put them there, I call up my provider so ee what's up, right?
