Google Analytics shows an error

I get an error after login - does that happen sometimes?

When I try to log into my Analytics account, the page just says:

An Error Has Been Detected
Please try again. Thank you for your patience.

Does that happen sometimes?

It hasn't been very common, but there's a lot of chatter on Twitter today about the GA error - from both Europe and the US
