Strange Server Log Entry

Someone else's site stats on my server log

My website is on a shared Apache server. I check my server logs on a daily basis because my site, like most others, is a target for hackers. I can usually spot the bad guys, but this time I got an entry that was for someone else's website. I asked the host how that happened, but they don't know. That makes me very nervous. How can someone else's site stats show up on my server logs? Is this normal? Here is one line of the log:

207.34.162.177 - - [14/Jul/2010:12:22:32 -0400] "GET /~adminxx/images/image/title_home.png HTTP/1.1" 200 684 "http://www.auntiestwo.com/"; "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6"

The referrer is www.auntiestwo.com but the visitor is getting a png file that is not on my server. I assume it is on the auntiestwo site because the http code was 200. So I think this entry is actually for the www.auntiestwo.com site but it is on my server logs. How could this happen? I changed the admin number for safety reasons.

I have never had this happen before. www.auntiestwo.com is also hosted by the same host that I use. I'm going to guess they are on the same server. Their IP is 24.248.93.41.

Have you checked whether you are on the same IP? If so I guess there is a misconfiguration for some admin tools or something similar , your hosting company should get this straight...

My IP is slightly different. The last two digits are not the same. I am afraid my host is a novice at hosting. Why else would they not be able to answer my question. I've been on three different hosting servers and all leave a lot to be desired. My host said: "We have no idea why that showed up in your log. It would not matter though as it was getting images from the other location for the other site, but his didn't impact your site at all." I'm still worried.
