I have since 2000 a cookie distribution over

cgi.example.com

All my domains visitors get a cookie from
cgi.example.com

I installed some days ago Google Analytics.

Now I discovered, that Google Analytics cookies
have replaced my cookies.

Normal, the cookie should contain only one unique number, but now

Jettero.Heller@cgi.example.com

contains a text what is not from me,
but from Google Analytics.

Any idea how to solf the problem?

To make it more mysteriouse, I checked the MSIE report about data security.

At web sites from me wihtou Google Analytics,
there is only one cookie from

cgi.example.com cookie acepted

listed

But when I check at sub.example.com where Googla Analytics is installed

sub.example.com cookie acepted
cgi.example.com cookie acepted

Found out, that it was my failure.

My software dealing with the cookies was not coded to handle multiple cookie information. So all was messed up.

Now the server side software splits from $ENV { "HTTP_COOKIE" } the own cookie.
