Google Analytics Update Regularity

Looking at my Google Analytics account for a website I work with, it can take up to 48hrs for numbers to be reported correctly. I compare my adsense numbers with my analytics numbers and they are way off (more than 50% less visits in G' Analytics)

Am I the only person seeing this (ie. did I break something) or is this a common issue?

Have you activated both accounts at the same time? OR there was some times differences?

this is a relatively old site (~3 years)

it used to be that the analytics numbers were about 4-6 hrs 'late' in being displayed... however now adsense gets updated with a 'normal' regularity, but analytics numbers jump up and down like crazy.

i cannot rely on the analytics numbers for visits/impressions until they are at least 48hrs old - and in some cases longer.

Mine is a 3-4 years Analytics Account and it takes about 48 hours for the report to be ready :(
I the last 2 months I had a lot of troubles with the reported figures..
