removing data, what if your GA code is copied by others

They are not deleting the code too

For one of our clients our google analytics code is copied by another company and they are not removing it. Because of their traffic getting reported under our reports we are getting irregular traffic reports. I came to know about this when I check the hosts under GA reporting section.

How can I take care of this problem?

Not knowing GA - is there not a way to exclude tracking calls for a particular domain or sets of domains as in other analytics tools?

If this is allowed, then you should be able to define the domain of the site calling the script and exclude it.

I believe the recommended action is to create a new GA profile for the site and add a filter to exclude tracking for those hosts. Keep the original profile in order to compare historical data.

Thanks, I guess thats the best option. I was also wondering whether there is any option to have filters for the old data (need to explore the custom segmentation option which was added recently).
