Google Analytics Date Comparisons

Wait those day comparisons aren't right..... are they?

I've long been frustrated that when I compare dates when using Google Analytics that there is not a feature or option to compare the days of the week.

For Example If I were to compare March 10 of 2009 with March 10 of 2010, the numbers are off by a day. Why? because March 10th of 2009 was a Tuesday and march 10th of 2010 was a Wednesday and this really throws the ALL the numbers and percentages off.

There doesn't appear to be a way to stagger the dates or offset the dates so I can match up the days of the week and compare those numbers.

Anyone have any ideas?

It might be nicer if there was a 'compare a four week block' option immediately available.

You can, however, set your own ranges for comparsion, by manually entering the date ranges required.

Right but when I enter the date range, thinking it would match up Wednesday with Wednesday it doesn't. It matches the 10th to the 10th. So, it would be nice if the had an option like "Day of Week Matching".
