Hey I am using Summary for my main stats package. I jst download the logs from my site in Gzip format and it parses them etc.. Now my hosting package has Urchin installed there and I see pretty different results with it. I get about 30-40 more unique visitors with Urchin than Summary. Does anyone know what could cause this? Thanks for the help.

Does one of the two stat packages use cookies as a part of determing the number of unique users?

Normally stat software use IP addresses as a mean of determing user sessions and unique users. However, the increasing use of what you could call "ultra" dynamic IP adresses (like with AOL) often makes the numbers with unique users useless. Unless you use cookies - which helps but doesn't solve the problem since a lot of users don't accept cookies.
