features that differentiate omniture and webtrends

Hi All

Has some one used webtrends and omniture tracking or site analysis tools and can commnt on the features of both differentiating those.

I have used them both, and I would have to say that unless you want to get into some very fine points in relation to the differences they are both going to provide plenty of reporting capability.

That being said, it is easier to use 1st party cookies with WebTrends than Omniture. (This is important because a lot of spyware removal tools target the omniture cookie for deletion.)

However, Omniture has a very nice add on feature called Discovery that allows you to drill into the database on the fly.

What I would suggest is that you go with the vendor you can get the best price from.
