I have a situation where I have some entries in an apache log file that clearly shows an IP address gaining unauthorised access to a private part of a web forum. I also know who that IP address belongs to. Since some forum members are keen to see the evidence, is it legal for me to post those log files that show "Mr X has accessed the following private information"?
Where do I stand legally? Am I publishing personal data?!
