So I've optimized my sites based on what Google suggests but keep getting the suggestion to "Enable gzip compression" and "Minimize DNS lookups" for the file...

Gzip messages have been reported by other people using GA and I wouldn't worry too much but would investigate the DNS lookups problem. Are you using the current GA code URL (as the URL you posted does redirect) and not an older GA URL?

Possibly worth checking out.

Most GA users are getting this message. Google started talking about "asyncronous tracking" on the same day that they started introducing Google speed suggestion in WM tools. Truth is... Installing Google analytics slows down the page load! I don't use GA so have not investigated this asynconous tracking, but it's out there. My guess, though, is that all this does is load the page before doing the full track... either that or uses og files for the initial pass. Either way, soonmer or later, you'll get Google Analytics making a DNS lookup, which will generate the recommendation in WMT to uninstall Google analytics!

A wonderful irony :)

You need to decide... do I want speed or do I want functionality? (Hint... keep analytics! everyone else has the same message).
