That's it. The assumption that this forum is about a single analytics package is complete. This forum has been officially googleborged.

In answer to your question... Try using Yahoo Web Analytics, or Webtrends, or one of the other hundredss of analytics services.

I'm sure someone can tell you how to do this in GA, but this forum moderator does not use GA that much.

You can get this buy going to Traffic Sources > Search Engines. Then click on export to csv and it will give you the number broken down by month. Make sure you have your date range set to Jan up till now.

i also have Webtrends installed, and it sucks. who REALLY needs that much data.. unless you are a data analyst, which i am not.

and why pay for any analytics tool?

webtrends is not easy to use.

(with no training mind you) i had to set up SDC with webtrends... holy carp.

you literally need to go to training to get this animal to work.

i have better things to do than trying to decipher their interface.

NO, GA is not perfect... as you can see by my question above.

so whatchagonnado?

and why pay for any analytics tool?

Because they may give you the information you want and can't get elsewhere?

Multi-million $ analytics companies don't have people paying them big bucks unless they get some added juice over the freebie solutions.

Though, admittedly, the average site owner doesn't need all that power.

i think GA will continue to get better, and compareable to paid tools...

it seems like there is always something they are BETA testing and trying to implement.
