Tracking users through bank's 3D Secure pages with Google Analytics

Traffic Source Referrers show up as coming from the bank's 3D secure pages

I have been trying to track users through a clients checkout process but find that the majority of referrers in Google Analytics Traffic Sources are actually bank's 3D secure pages.

When you pass a user from your basket to your payment processor you can authorize that domain to access the Google Analytics (GA) cookie set on your own website.

However, the payment processor will at some point pass the user to the bank's 3D secure page (depending on what card type is used) and there is no way I have found to authorize those domains to access the GA cookie.

I have posted a question on GA help forums (without response):

Am wondering if WebmasterWorld members would be more helpful or have experience in fixing this problem? Or if the recommendation is to use another analytics package?

I can confirm that there are other analytics packages that can handle these circumstances simply - but have no idea how you would do it on GA, unfortunately! But it does answer part of your question. Hopefully someone can answer the other Google related part.

Have been researching this some time without success - do any power users here have any advice?
