I have web stats set up on my site that show the address of every visitor. Is it possible to detect if and when googlebot has visited the site?
Also, I've seen in this report several addresses with "inktomi" in it. Are these connected with the search engine, or do they also an ISP?

Thanks in advance

When Googlebot comes to your site, it will show up in the browsers section of the stats.

You can also check your log files to find out if it has come by.

How do I know which is googlebot? In the browser section the only one besides netscape/ie/opera is "libwww-perl/5.47". Is this the googlebot?
When I looked into the details of the visit of this item, it showed unknown and unresolved for the details, and it spent an hour on my site. This would most likely seem like it is it, right?
What do you think?
Thanks
