Tracking traffic by geography

Possible to track individual counties or localities?

Is there a way to set up tracking so that I would know at a locality or county level where my traffic is coming from? I am setting up a local web site and want to know traffic from each locality. Is it possible?

If you logs record IP address there are expensive and less expensive products that have different degrees of accuracy, but generally, the mapping of IP to geo location is flakey at best - for instance at some sites, they think I'm from a town 45 miles away... And then unless you get a rather expensive product, the AOL information is not valid.

You might want to try other means to identify people - like asking them.
