Here I come with another query about a tool that I realised that our company needs...
As a company which SEOs websites of many clients, we often find a situation when a client changes their site without notifying us. In the good case, this has no effect at all on their rankings, or has a positive impact.
In the bad case, which is more frequent, unfortunately, rankings get hurt by these changes.
These changes can be in Title tags, visible page content, or even script changes (such as menues, or google analytics).
Ofcouse that I'd like to filter out automatic changes such as prices and dates, but I would like to get notified, automatically, on changes such as html code changes, addition / disappearance of pages, etc., in a format I can easily understand.
I have searched the Internet for quite a while and couldn't find a tool that will address these needs.
Is there such a tool available? Does anyone know?
Thanks!
paraphrased reply I got from them:
I'm afraid it cannot do all that you need in the current version.
It can check the text of various tags (title included) and links that
change, but not scripts and hidden elements like meta tags.
It is on the feature candidate list to add these features, but I don't yet know when they will be available.
