Does Alexa calculate rankings based on

I'm wondering if Alexa calculates it's rankings on uniques, pageviews or both?

AFAIK, Alexa provides separate graphs for both uniques and pageviews. It is worth noting that the data that is provided by Alexa should be used with care as it is quite easy to manipulate.

thanks, i should have noted those separate stats and yes, you aren't the first one i hear say that ratings can be artificially inflated
