Hi all,
I have a few websites and I'm using a programming company in India, I've been using Google Analytics for quite long when I suddenly saw my sites was ranking at strange Search Engines very high such as Google India and I was kicked out of the US results! I've been asking myself this question lately a lot, does Google track sites using Analytics?
I put an end to that and started using [other stats systems] on some of the sites and now some of them are back to the US results.

I wanted to know what is your experience if any with [other stats] services:

Please advise any pros and cons in general, I would glad to hear...

Thanks,
Tim

I'd doubt that having analytics on your site would have any bearing on your rankings in Google. Out of interest, did you move your sites to a server in India for your programmers? If so, this could be the reason you suddenly did well in Google India and less well in Google US. Google uses location as a variable for rankings, and if it finds your site under an IP range associated with India, then it makes sense that it ranks it better there than in the US.

This might not be what is happening, but I've never heard of Analytics itself causing this issue.

I've used Analytics for a couple of years now and I like it. There are some things I'd change about it, but then, it's free so one cannot complain to much :-)

Sorry I had to take off the other analytics links. We do not like promoting any product here and to be honest I'd rather not mention Google Analytics if I could help it - but that seems to be a (temporary) lost cause.

I also don't use GA much, also preferring other systems - but disappearing from US results yet appearing in India is not to do with your stats system. It will be to do with the location of your hosting company, your TLD or arguably your links. Most likely the first of these if the site is not an India domain.
