Hi Log Masters,

I have a bunch of old IIS 6.0 logs, i was wondering what is the best tool to analyze them?

I assume "best" also means "free"? You are looking for something no-cost, for a generally simple tabulation?

Try searching for "log analyzer" on the Internet. There are several and they will all float to the top.

All the free ones are about the same, though they will give you somewhat different answers, for valid reasons.

If you want a real analysis as opposed to just basics, search for somebody with real analysis software like the old defunct HitBox or any software version of WebTrends (including the very oldest simplest versions). Analyzing log files is different from Google Analytics and takes some experience with that type of data. Not technically, but in terms of configuring it to get uncontaminated results that you can rely on to any extent.

You can try deepmatrix.com as we acquired that service.
