I just inherited a client who has an analytics account. The code is embedded in the web pages but I don't know the user name and password for the google account. The client doesn't seem to know it nor does the last web developer. Is there some way I can contact google for the account information or at least the email account to whomever set it up?

You are out of luck on that one.

Could just try setting up a new Analytics account and changing the code on each page.

Alternatively the web hosting provider might provide logfiles you can use instead.

You could send Google the code and the least you could get is the username. They'll ask for some type of proof, which isn't hard to come up with.
