Google Analytics question - daily view

A couple weeks ago, my interface in Analytics suddenly seemed to change. I usually view my traffic by day, and it used to show a line graph comparing the current day to the last week or so. Now it just shows a dot. This is kind of pointless in my view and is taking away a lot of the usefulness - now for every traffic source I want to see trends for, I have to go back and forth between weekly and daily instead of just seeing it. Is there any way to get this back (i.e., did they just change the default settings and I can fix this somehow?)

I guess they changed the default, or lost your customer setting, because my default view is a whole month.

It still defaults to a monthly view for me. That one works fine. What's different is what happens when I change it to a daily view from that. Before, I used to still see the line graph for the whole month. It would focus in on the day I picked, but I would still see how many searches had been done for all the days around it. Now, I just see a single dot.

Ah, now I understand the question. When less than a month was selected, the old view was a full month with just the days you specify highlighted, and now it shows ONLY the days you specify.

I guess they cleared the anomaly that for more than a month the X range showed all the days selected, and for less than a month it showed too many days (showed the full month) with the specified days only being highlighted.

I now get that effect too. To find the numbers for one day, mouseover that day and a popup tooltip shows the result.
