Every now and then I routinely go to my website and spot check it to make sure it still works.

And my visits show up in the stats.

I know which one is me by reading my IP address.

The odd thing is, when I ask the stats to show me what city I'm from, It says I'm from Dallas TX, and yesterday I was from Atlanta GA.

What's that all about?

I don't know but I'm always from "Athens" even though I really live on an island 200 miles away.

Its all about the location of the ISP. You will often see this problem when you check from a hotel room, the hotel chain may have a contract with an ISP in a different city than the hotel you are staying at. So that is why it looked like you were in Dallas.

I am guessing you do not see this problem if you are in somebodies home using a cable or DSL connection.
