Cant' get my head around this

We've moved our ad serving (we advertise our own products bought online) from openx hosted to admanager, due to a horrid experience with openx.

We need (I mean really need) to be able to track conversions on our own ads. I have stared at the GA docs (and read them too) to try to figure out how to do this.

Can someone point me in the right direction, provide hints, whatever. I'm usually capable of doing all my web stuff by learning it myself, but this has me stumped. If I can't get this solved myself, I'll need to hire someone to show me, or something.

(which is another question -- how would I find someone).

Thanks. This is a pretty urgent issue since we really need to maximize efficiency in this tougher market.

Just some details. Let's say we have 10 of our own websites. Each shows ads for, let's say 20 products, rotated by google admanager. All of the ads send the clicker to our main sales site.

From there, they click on links that take them to our third party credit card processor and online fulfilment partner. We can put code on the thank you page the visitor gets upon successful purchase.

So, how do we:

identify which ads are resulting in sales
identify which sites are producing sales
track sales revenues and number of sales

...that's the setup.

We really need to do this. Anyone?
